Open Board Meeting #3 2023-2024

Hello Redland Oaks Homeowners,

Happy Spring! I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to the new season!

This is a formal notice for our next Open Board Meeting scheduled for Thursday April 11th, 2024 at 6pm.

Once again, Valerie Larson-Lohr has kindly opened her home to host our meeting. Attached to this email you will find all the information for our meeting and the topics to be discussed.

This will be the final Open Board Meeting under self-management. We have been working with Jellybird Management Company since last year and will begin our transfer process to their services next month. We will make sure to communicate the process with you as our start date approaches.

In other neighborhood news,

1) Our most recent Newsletter is posted here for the months of March/April 2024. Thank you Ms. Karen Davis for putting these together for us!

2) It appears our neighborhood struck some luck and received a surprise repaving from the city of San Antonio on Outrider. Check out some pictures of the project here taken by Michael Gray.

3) The Spring Community Garage Sale will be held on the first Saturday of April, which is this weekend on April 6th from around 9am-12pm.

4) As a friendly spring reminder, please remember to pick up after our four-legged friends when walking around our neighborhood. Thank you!

5) Our Landscaping Committee is still open for any volunteers who would like to help continue the self-service of our 3 landscaped areas. Contact Michael/Judy Gray or Stephen Garza if you would like to help!

6) Don't forget to send in your Annual Dues if you have not done so already. The amount of $192.50 or a First Quarterly payment of $48.13 can be sent to the address below or handed to any current board member, thank you!:

Happy Fiesta Season!

The Board held our third Open Board Meeting for 2023-2024 last week. Thank you to our wonderful hosts Valerie and Craig for opening their home and Ms. Maria Weaver for providing some delicious donuts for us all to snack on!

A quick shout out and thanks to Mr. David Linder for helping our Landscaping Team cut Mailbox Island earlier this month!

The Board held a productive meeting that reviewed our 1st Quarter news and financials. We are doing our best to work our way back to a partnership with a management company, however at this time the Board does not feel comfortable signing the contract without having our insurance renewal pricing since it was our largest increased expense last year.

We decided to delay the partnership with our new management company and will review the start date of our contract once we have confirmation of our next insurance policy renewal pricing in June.

You can find approved minutes, our agenda, and an updated financial report here. Our next board meeting is scheduled for June 20 so be on the lookout for a notice in the next couple of months with a plan to follow.
